A form, a template, a PDF snapshot
CV Maker is a browser studio: category tabs, seventeen templates, and fields for contact, summary, roles, education, and skills. The preview is HTML in the page. Download calls html2pdf on #resume with A4, 8 mm margins, html2canvas scale 2, and JPEG quality 0.96. The file you save is a picture of that preview. There is no login and no résumé stored on the server. If you close the tab before download, the fields go with it.
A person can read the PDF. A portal that wants selectable text often cannot. The ATS Classic layout is one column and easier on the eye. The export path is the same photograph for every template, including the regional ones (European, Canadian, US, UK, Australian, German, French, Gulf, Moroccan). If the application form has a text box, paste from the fields. If it demands a PDF, send this file and expect a human or a weak parser.

Two readers, sometimes two files
A portal
Use ATS Classic so a person scanning the picture sees one column. Paste the same bullets into the form fields the site provides. Do not run PDF to Word on the download and expect your jobs back.
A conversation
A tighter visual template is fine when a person will look at it. Do not send that file to the portal and the plain file to the person, with different dates. Same facts.
A posting that says OSHA 10
If your line says “10-hour construction safety card,” add the name the posting uses, in parentheses, because that is what the card is. Do not add OSHA 30.
AI afterwards
CV Writer and the ATS checker are separate pages and they send text to /api/ai. Strip national ID numbers and extra contact detail before that paste. The maker does not need those fields for layout.
Template, facts, export, extract
- Choose the template for the reader in front of you.
- Fill roles with specifics. One role at a time reads cleaner than a decade in one box.
- Download the PDF. Open it and try to highlight a bullet. You should not be able to. That is the export.
- Read the picture at 100%. If a line is cut off, shorten the field and export again. Name the file with the company, not
cv-final.pdf.

Frequently asked questions
Will the downloaded PDF pass an ATS?
Do not assume it will. Download runs html2pdf: html2canvas photographs #resume at scale 2 and embeds JPEG at quality 0.96 on A4. That is a picture of the preview. A parser that needs a text layer gets little or nothing. The ATS Classic template is easier for a person to read. It does not change the export into live text.
Can I edit the PDF later as if it were the form?
No. The PDF is the photograph. Change the fields and export again. PDF to Word on this download is the wrong tool: there is no text layer to extract. Copy from the form, not from the PDF.
How many templates are there?
Seventeen, including regional layouts. Pick for the reader. A photo block that a region expects is noise in a region that rejects photos. The template does not know the posting.
Is my career history uploaded while I type?
The maker itself keeps the form in the browser session and does not require an account. If you paste the same text into CV Writer, ATS Checker, or Cover Letter, that paste POSTs to /api/ai. The maker download is a separate step.
What should I put in the bullets?
A tool you used, a scope, and an outcome you can say out loud. The checker can suggest a keyword. It cannot make a false keyword true. Leave Kubernetes off if you have not run a cluster.

The PDF is a scale-2 photograph of #resume on A4 with 8 mm margins. A line that overflowed the card is cut in the JPEG. Shorten the bullet and export again. The preview can scroll. The page cannot.
