Organize PDF Pages Online
Drag page cards into a new order, then save the reorganized PDF.

A new page tree, same page objects
Organize PDF renders the pages as cards, lets you move or remove them, and writes a new PDF with pdf-lib in that order. It does not repaint the pages as images. Text you could select still selects. The original file on disk is untouched unless you overwrite it yourself.
There is no account and no file cabinet on the server. The document lives in the tab until you download. HTTPS is how the page arrived. It is not a wrapper around an upload, because the upload does not happen.

Shuffled stacks
A cover that the feeder put on page 12
Move it to page 1. Count the result. 94 pages minus 3 blanks is 91. If the viewer count disagrees, a card was dropped by mistake.
Duplex backs
A white card might be the back of a photo ID the instructions said to keep. Zoom before you remove “blanks” as a habit.
After a rotate
Save the rotated file, then organize that file. If the order export is wrong, go back one step. Do not re-rotate a file you only needed to reorder.
Before anyone signs
A visible signature sticks to a page object. Shuffle first. Signing and then dragging pages is how the mark ends up on the wrong sheet of the story.
Move, then count
- Open the PDF. Wait until the cards match the page count you expect.
- Drag the cover, the body, and the appendix into reading order. Remove only pages you have zoomed.
- Export. Jump to the old problem spots, not only page 1.
- Name the file
-orderedand leave the previous step on disk until the packet is accepted.
Rotation and order together are described in the scan that had to be readable before lunch.
A count you write down first
Note the source page count, the number of cards you removed, and the count you expect. The download should match the expectation. A card that looks duplicate may be a duplex back with a faint edge. Zoom it. Removing it because the thumbnail is white is the usual way a signature page disappears.
Organize does not insert pages from a second file and does not rotate. If the cover is both in the wrong place and sideways, rotate, save, then open that saved file here. Doing both jobs from memory on the original produces two downloads and no clear parent.
Drag until the reading order matches the stack on the desk, including a blank you meant to keep between sections. Export, then jump to the old problem index rather than admiring page 1. The source file is still on disk. The download is a new PDF with the pages you kept, copied, not redrawn. If the count is off by one, a card was dropped. Go back to the source file rather than trying to invent the missing page from the export.
Frequently asked questions
Does Organize overwrite the original?
No. You download a new PDF. If you replace the source in the file picker, that is you, not the page. Keep the source until the new order has been checked.
Is this the same as Merge?
No. Organize edits the page list of one document. Merge appends several documents. Clean a shuffled scan here, then merge it with other files if you still need a packet.
Will deleting a page destroy annotations on the pages I keep?
Kept pages are copied as pages. Test any markup you still need. Deleted pages are simply not copied into the new file.
A thumbnail looks blank. Can I delete it?
Zoom first. A faint scan of an ID back looks white in a small card and still has a number. A true blank is a tiny page. A pale scan is not.
Do I upload anything?
No. pdf-lib runs in the tab. There is no stored original on a server to purge. Memory is the limit, same as the other local tools.
Can I insert a page from a second PDF here?
Not on this page. Build that page into the file with Merge, or split it out and merge in the right place. Organize only reorders what is already in the open file.
