Delete Your Data
This page explains what data PDFSwift keeps, for how long, and how you can delete it or ask us to. It applies to the PDFSwift website and to the PDFSwift Android apps (Google Play and Amazon Appstore versions).
Short answer
PDFSwift has no user accounts and does not keep your documents. There is nothing in an account for you to delete. The few pieces of data that exist are either stored only on your own device or expire automatically within hours or days.
What is stored and where
| Data | Where it lives | How long | How to delete it |
|---|---|---|---|
| PDF, image and EPUB files you choose | Your device only (tools run locally in the browser or app) | Until you close the page or the app clears its cache (within 24 hours in the apps) | Close the tab, or in the app use Settings → Delete local data |
| Resume drafts (PDFSwift apps) | App private storage on your device | Until you delete them | Settings → Delete local data, Clear this draft, or uninstall the app |
| Diagnostics log (PDFSwift apps) | Your device only; never sent automatically | Until you clear it | Settings → Delete local data or uninstall |
| Advertising choice (free apps) | Your device only | Until you clear app data | Change it in Settings → Ads or clear app data |
| Text sent to the AI features (Pro, or the AI pages) | Processed in memory by PDFSwift and Cloudflare Workers AI to produce the answer | Not stored by PDFSwift | Nothing to delete; do not submit it if you do not want it processed |
| Subscription check (Amazon Appstore app) | A daily usage counter in PDFSwift’s gateway, keyed by a one-way hash of your Amazon user ID | Expires automatically after 48 hours | Nothing to delete; request removal by email if you wish |
| Purchase and billing records | Amazon or Google, not PDFSwift | Per their policies | Through your Amazon or Google account |
| Advertising data (free versions) | The ad network providers, as described in our privacy policy | Per their policies | Reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings; use the ad providers’ own controls |
How to delete data on your device
- Website: close the tab. Files are processed in memory and are not saved by the site. Your browser’s site-data setting removes any preferences stored by the page.
- Android apps: open Settings in the app and choose Delete local data. This removes the resume draft, temporary files and the diagnostics log. Files you saved yourself with “Save to device” are yours and are not touched; delete them in your file manager.
- Everything at once: uninstall the app, or use Android’s Settings → Apps → PDFSwift → Storage → Clear storage.
Request deletion by email
If you believe PDFSwift holds data about you that is not covered above, or you want written confirmation that nothing is held, email support@pdfswift.cc with the subject Data deletion request. Tell us which app or page you used. For the Amazon Appstore app, include the email address of your Amazon account if you want us to look for the usage counter; do not include documents or passwords.
We aim to reply within 30 days. Because the apps have no accounts, we may need a detail such as the Amazon account email to locate any record, and we will tell you if there is nothing to delete.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port personal data and to object to some processing. Use the email address above to exercise them. More about how PDFSwift handles information is in the Privacy Policy.
